Neeyat unfolds as an engaging mystery set within the confines of a Scottish castle, where the birthday festivities of business magnate Ashish Kapoor take a sinister turn amid the impending collapse of his business empire. Unknown to the guests, CBI officer Mira Rao is among them with the aim of apprehending Ashish for extensive fraud and the tragic deaths of employees resulting from unpaid salaries. However, before Mira can execute her plan, Ashish meets an enigmatic demise by falling off a cliff, thrusting Mira into the role of a detective tasked with uncovering the true culprit among the attendees.

After Ashish Kapoor’s demise, Zara claims to have witnessed his suicide, but Mira casts doubt on the credibility of her testimony. As Mira delves into the investigation, she exposes various motives and secrets among the guests. Jimmy challenges his father’s will, Lisa faces extortion, Sasha is troubled by unpaid education fees, and Kay emerges as an innocent figure determined to uncover the real murderer. Zara, Ashish’s therapist, appears unaffected by the deaths of her dog and Ashish.

Mira suspects that the orchestrated absence of the castle staff, overseen by Tanveer, the event manager, was a strategy to limit witnesses. As the investigation progresses, it comes to light that Tanveer is actually Tanmay, a journalist aiming to uncover a significant story about Ashish’s life. Mira uncovers Tanmay’s past relationship with Gigi, Ryan’s girlfriend, who assists him in escaping with Ashish’s briefcase.

As the narrative unfolds, Noor admits to trying to poison Ashish because of his oppressive treatment towards her and her husband, Sanjay. Lisa admits to spying on Ashish for Raj Choudhary, the Minister of Industries, but claims to have genuinely fallen in love with him during her mission.
