Shilpa Shetty recently shared her experience working with director Rohit Shetty on the upcoming streaming series “Indian Police Force,” where she plays a pivotal role. The actress, now the first female cop in Shetty’s renowned cop universe, revealed some interesting dynamics during a recent interview.

In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Shilpa playfully addressed the question about what she loved and tolerated about Rohit Shetty. She humorously referred to it as a “panga” (problem) before sharing her thoughts. Praising Shetty’s unique style, she expressed admiration, stating, “One thing I love about Rohit Shetty is that he presents his actors so amazingly, with so much swag. I love that about him.”

However, the actress didn’t shy away from humorously labeling Shetty as a “diva” when asked about what she disliked. She playfully added, “Between him and me, he is a bigger diva than me.” Despite referring to him as a “tyrant” on sets, she clarified that it’s a positive aspect, contributing to self-preservation.

In another interview with Film Companion, Shilpa shed light on the distinctive approach Shetty takes on set. Unlike other projects, Shetty’s rehearsals involve his assistants performing the entire scene, allowing actors to observe and understand expectations. Shilpa appreciated this method, emphasizing its efficiency and time-saving benefits. She also highlighted Shetty’s meticulous attention to details like costumes, hair, and makeup, where he actively participates in decision-making.

During the trailer launch of “Indian Police Force,” Shilpa shared her enthusiasm for the project. Recalling her immediate acceptance, she stated, “When they came to narrate the part to me, the minute they said the character is called Tara Shetty, I was like okay. It was a checklist.” Expressing her desire to work with Rohit Shetty, she emphasized the director’s profound understanding of the genre. Playing a cop in his cop universe, she regarded it as a compliment and expressed her satisfaction that their collaboration began with this significant part.
