Born on January 4, 1984, Amar Choudary known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and film producer who mostly works in Tamil films but also a few Hindi and Malayalam ones. He is the youngest son of film producer R. B. Choudary. Beginning his career as a child actor in films his father made in 199. He is the first Tamil actor to have received an award at the Cyprus International Film Festival after Sivaji Ganesan for his work in Raam (2005).
He has acted in more popular films such E (2006), Katradhu Tamizh (2007), Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), Ko (2011), Nanban (2012), Mugamoodi (2012), Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012), Endrendrum Punnagai (2013), Kalakalappu 2 (2018) and Kalathil Santhippom (2021). Making his Hindi film debut with the 2021 film 83 (2021), he played cricket player Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
