Bad Newz box office proceeds day 3: Vicky Kaushal continues to be on a roll as his recent film, Anand Tiwari’s romantic comedy also featuring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, is approaching the ₹30 crore milestone in India. Accordingly, the movie has managed a firm grip on the earnings throughout the opening weekend.

According to the report, Bad Newz collected ₹11.15 crore to its revenue on Sunday, resulting in a sum of ₹29.7 crore for its premiere weekend at the domestic box office. The day 3 earnings showed a minor rise from the Saturday income of ₹10.25 crore, which in turn was a notable surge from its opening day earnings of ₹8.3 crore. The opening day income turned out to be the highest in Vicky’s career so far, even surpassing his biggest success yet – Aditya Dhar’s 2019 military action drama Uri: The Surgical Strike. Whether he manages to clear the Monday test is yet to be determined. The film has received mixed reviews, but the word-of-mouth appears to be quite positive.

Vicky visits theatre
Vicky expressed gratitude to his audience on Saturday when he made a surprise visit to a late-night screening of Bad Newz in Mumbai. He thanked the theatre audience for braving the rains to attend the show, posed for selfies with some of them, and also sang his viral song Tauba Tauba with the crowd.
Bad Newz is created by Amritpal Singh Bindra, together with Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It is helmed by Anand Tiwari of Love Per Square Foot, Bandish Bandits, and Maja Ma-renowned. The film also features actress Neha Dhupia in a crucial role.
Bad Newz is described as a “rare comedy film inspired by true events” about heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive process in which twin offspring have the same mother, but different biological fathers.

It is the spiritual successor to Raj Mehta’s 2019 hit romantic comedy Good Newwz, which featured Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani.
