A recent report from Bollywood Hungama reveals an exciting lineup of films set for re-release this September. Among the first are Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic films Pardes (1997) and Veer-Zaara (2004), both poised to captivate audiences once again. According to a source from BH, “Veer-Zaara will hit theaters on September 13, with a limited number of daily showings that could increase based on demand.”
The source further mentioned that Pardes is expected to be re-released on either September 20 or 27, with an official announcement pending to confirm the date. Directed by Subhash Ghai, Pardes, featuring Mahima Chaudhry and Apurva Agnihotri, was a musical hit. Ghai’s other film, Taal (1999), is also scheduled to return to theaters on September 20.

Additionally, fans can look forward to seeing Madhuri Dixit perform her iconic Ek Do Teen once more, as Zee Studios is reportedly considering a re-release of Tezaab in the latter half of September.
Meanwhile, the re-release of Tumbbad, originally planned for August 30, has been postponed to September 13. These re-releases are strategically timed around the Ganpati festival to maximize audience turnout. Commercially, this move has proven successful, with films like Laila Majnu even surpassing the earnings of their original runs.

Other re-releases like R Madhavan and Dia Mirza’s Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein continue to perform well in theaters, alongside both parts of Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. For those interested in new films, upcoming releases include Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein.
