Call Me Bae star Ananya Panday recently shared a relatable secret about how she handles ex-boyfriends, revealing a sentiment many women can relate to. Currently, Ananya is deeply involved in her new OTT series, which is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 6, 2024. During a recent interview, when asked if she had ever flushed a photo of an ex, Ananya humorously revealed that she prefers burning them instead, and even has an “ex-box,” inspired by Kourtney Kardashian.

In a chat with Fever FM, when questioned about the dramatic act of flushing a photo, Ananya laughed and said, “No, I haven’t flushed it, but I’ve burned it. What if it gets stuck? That would be an even bigger disaster.” When further asked if she kept any mementos from past relationships, she admitted, “Yes, I did have an ex-box with some items and memories. I think Kourtney Kardashian did something similar with a box full of keepsakes.”

The trailer for Call Me Bae gives a glimpse into Ananya’s character, Bae, who begins her journey in a world of wealth and privilege. However, her life takes a turn, forcing her to rebuild herself from scratch. Bae relocates to Mumbai, where she lands a job as a journalist, and her path to self-discovery includes interactions with characters played by Vir Das and Varun Sood. The trailer also includes a lighthearted reference to Siddhant Chaturvedi.

In one notable scene, Ananya’s character tells a security guard, “Majburiyon se main guzar rahi hun, bhaiya” (I’m the one struggling, brother), to which he replies, “Aapki majburi jahan shuru hoti hai, wahan tak pahunchna hi toh humara sapna hai” (Reaching the point where your struggle begins is our dream).

Call Me Bae is a series created by Ishita Moitra and directed by Collin D’Cunha.
