She is the elder sister of actress Shamita Shetty. Shetty’s education took place at St. Anthony’s Girls High School in Chembur and Podar College in Matunga. A skilled Bharatanatyam dancer and former school volleyball team captain, Shetty’s diverse talents were evident from a young age.

Following her 10th-grade exams in 1991, Shilpa Shetty kickstarted her career in the entertainment industry as a model, debuting with a Limca TV commercial.
