The theatrical release of Kanguwa starring Suriya is scheduled for November 14, 2024 and the promotional activities are already on. At a recent press event, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol was praised by the producer K.E.
Commenting on Bobby’s role, the producer said, “If you’ve seen Animal, this is like a wilder version of Bobby sir. He is seen completely wild in this film.” He has also expressed gratitude for having Disha Patani on board for making her debut in Tamil cinema with Kanguva.
Reflecting on the film, Gnanavelraja shared that after watching the initial cut, the entire team was thrilled with the outcome and is eagerly awaiting the audience’s reaction.
Kanguva is a fantasy action film directed by Siva, featuring Suriya in the lead role. The movie which also casts Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, follows a narrative set across two distinct timelines, with Suriya playing dual characters—a warrior as well as a modern-day individual.
Recently, the film’s creators released a party anthem titled Yolo, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, which showcases Suriya in a stylish avatar, sharing sizzling chemistry with Disha Patani.

Looking at Suriya’s upcoming projects, he has completed filming for his next release, tentatively titled Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. This romantic action film casts Pooja Hegde in the lead along with actors like Jairam, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar and Prakash Raj.
Apart from that, Suriya is gearing up for another exciting project, this time collaborating with director RJ Balaji. Touted to be a Divine Fantasy, the film will feature music by the legendary AR Rahman which promises to be a thrilling and entertaining cinematic experience.
