IPL 2023: A Turning Point
Rinku Singh’s major break came in the IPL 2023, as he did the impossible. Hitting five successive sixes off the last five balls of a game sealed victory for KKR and catapulted him to the big leagues overnight. Since then, his consistency and boldness at the crease have made him the biggest favorite among fans and the fraternity of cricket lovers all over the world.

Career in Domestic and Journey of IPL
Rinku Singh has been an integral part of Uttar Pradesh cricket for the domestic circuit, both in first-class and List A formats. In 2017, Punjab Kings picked him for ₹10 lakh but he didn’t get to play that season. In 2018, KKR picked him for ₹80 lakh but was not given much game time.
An injury ruled him out of the whole 2021 IPL season, but KKR reposed faith in him in the 2022 mega auction, retaining him at ₹55 lakh. He repaid that trust with good performances, scoring 174 runs at a strike rate of 148 from seven matches that season. Over the period of 2017 to 2023, he earned approximately ₹4.4 crore from the IPL contracts.
