Kartik Aaryan’s latest release will end its cinema journey with a net worth of Rs 247 crore at the domestic box office, even after clashing against the super-budget Singham Again, establishing it as a super-hit.

Ranked as the Second-Highest Grossing Bollywood Horror Comedy

With collections as impressive as these, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 now ranks as the second-highest grossing horror-comedy in Bollywood. The top position belongs to the stupendous Stree 2 with an impressive net domestic collection of Rs 585 crore. Golmaal Again follows Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Rs 205.5 crore and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Rs 181.75 crore.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, co-starring Triptii Dimri with Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan, lands up in 20th place on the all-time highest Hindi grossers list, with Singham Again following at 21st position. Even so, combined, these films could not touch the lifetime earnings of Stree 2, which starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

Horror Films Dominate Bollywood in 2024

In tune with the trend, horror films such as Shaitaan, Munjya, and Stree 2 now boast box-office figures like no other. Shaitaan has brought in Rs 149 crore while Munjya finished with lifetime earnings of Rs 103 crore. This may well include a defining moment for popular genres taking on maturity for revenue and remorseless audience proximity.

Horror seems all set to spread even further with upcoming sizzlers including sequels to Shaitaan and Stree 2, and others like Thama and Bhoot Bangla.
