Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who stars in the recently released film Baby John, shared his thoughts on heartbreak, describing it as a particularly challenging experience for men. During an appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Varun opened up about how men cope with emotional pain.
He remarked, “When a man goes through heartbreak, society often overlooks what he is going through. It’s a very difficult phase. Men still have to fulfill their responsibilities and carry on with their work.”
Varun elaborated further, saying, “You can’t show your pain to others. You feel broken inside but have to maintain a brave front and move forward because people expect men to be strong. As a boy, crying is not considered acceptable.”

He said that- “Most of the time, perspectives from Mumbai dwell in Bollywood as it’s the only entertainment hub in India.” While he understood the sentiment of the city, he wanted to include a whole bunch of voices from all over the country to better the storytelling.
On The Ranveer Show, he said, “We need voices from places beyond Bombay, beyond metropolitan cities. Voices from tier-2 and tier-3 towns are necessary. These voices must come into the industry.”
He also spoke about adapting to the times. He wanted people in power within Bollywood to change their minds and share the space, if they had to, to uplift this industry.
