MIDC Police Station was established on March 25, 1977, that covers an approximately 300,000 residents thickly populated area over a jurisdiction area of 10 km. The territorial limits of this police station stretches from Jaitala Market towards Hingna Pull in eastern and western direction; Sonegaon Nipani towards the north to southern Isasani-Wagdhara. Over its jurisdiction lies spread Sonegaon-Nipani, Isasani, Nildoh, and Digdoh Gram Panchayats along with Wanadongari Municipal Council and 13 slums.

The station is managed by a strong team of 89 staff members and 12 officials. Till June 2021, it was headed by Senior Police Inspector (PI) Yuvraj Sambhaji Hande, who was a PSI of the 2005 batch. The station has four beats and each is led by its respective beat marshals as under:-

MIDC Police Station jurisdictions include many premier educational institutions and hospitals, Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Priyadarshini and Raisoni Group of Institutions, Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, and Meghe Hospital among others. The station has taken several preventive measures to curb theft and other criminal activities in the area. Under the directives of senior officials, including the Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone 1, the station has intensified actions against notorious criminals and illegal activities. In a bid to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community, PI Hande has shared his personal mobile number (8275200947) with locals, encouraging them to report emergencies or provide confidential information, with assurances of anonymity. Officers usually hold Shantata Meetings, Mohalla Meetings, and Senior Citizen Meetings to take up grievances of the citizens along with local corporators, social workers, and businessmen. Seminars and awareness drives held by schools and colleges in which the police take part so as to be involved with students, thus promoting the cause within the young minds.
The station has initiated joint operations against serial offenders and organized crime, which includes illegal business like liquor shops and gambling shops. In a particular year recently, the station initiated as many as 138 preventive actions more than the last year. Such measures also involve invoking the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act besides issuing externment orders to the people for protection and safety in the area.
