As everyone awaited its much-promoted title track, finally the song from Loveyapa starring Junaid Khan along with Khushi Kapoor released. A song which is really full of quirk and very upbeat, it does not capture the listener’s attention as it should.

Song Release

The title track, titled Loveyapa, was unveiled on Instagram on Friday. The post’s caption read:
“#Loveyapa title track starring #JunaidKhan and #KhushiKapoor is here! This is a perfect love song that resonates with Gen-Z youths! The love anthem of the year, Rolling! Love is in the air! Celebrate this Valentine’s season with #Loveyapa, releasing in cinemas on 7th February 2025.”

Khushi Kapoor also shared the song on her Instagram, writing:
“Babu Shona karte-karte ho gaya dimag ka Bhajiyapa? Well, this is the beginning of Loveyapa!”

Sung by Nakash Aziz and Madhubanti Bagchi, the track features Junaid and Khushi exploring the quirks of modern relationships. However, the lyrics, visuals, and overall presentation have drawn criticism for being overly saturated and reminiscent of outdated music video styles from the early 2000s.

Public Reaction

The reception of the song hasn’t been very much said, and a lot of it is online critiquing it. Comments like “Omg is this a real song?”, “What does this song even mean?” or “Babe, wtf is this?” flooded the social media platform. Another person made a comment like “What is this cringe?”, while others added sarcastically, “Bas yeh sunna bacha tha (This was the last thing I needed to hear).

Loveyapa is a romantic drama directed by Advait Chandan and set to be released in cinemas on February 7, 2025. Phantom Studios officially announced the film on December 26, unveiling a poster that introduced Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor as the lead pair.

The film marks Junaid’s debut in the romantic comedy genre following his performance in Maharaj. Described as a modern-day love story, the movie promises “heartwarming storytelling, vibrant music, and stunning visuals.” It is reportedly a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today.
