Early Years and Upbringing.

The remarkable Indian Kabaddi player Rohit Kumar Chillar was born in Nizampur, Panipat, on January 19, 1990. He was inspired to start playing Kabaddi at an early age by the abundance of skilled players in his village. Under the tutelage of more experienced players like as Manjeet Chhillar and Rakesh Kumar, Rohit refined his abilities and became a powerful raider.

His father, Vijay Kumar Chillar, was a national-level Kabaddi player and a member of the Delhi Police, hence he comes from a sporting family.

International Kabaddi Career

Fulfilling his childhood dream, Rohit Kumar made his debut for the Indian National Kabaddi Team at the 2016 South Asian Games held in Guwahati and Shillong. Displaying outstanding performance, he helped India secure a gold medal. He was also a part of the 2018 Kabaddi Master Dubai squad.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Career

Rohit Kumar stepped into the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) during Season 3 when he was picked by Patna Pirates. In his debut season, he made a significant impact by scoring 109 points and earning the title of ‘Most Valuable Player.’

In Season 5, he became the first player in PKL history to score over 30 points in a single match, securing 32 points against UP Yoddha. After his initial season with Patna Pirates, he joined Bengaluru Bulls and became their captain in Season 6.

Signature Move: The Frog Jump

One of Rohit Kumar’s most iconic moves is the ‘Frog Jump.’ This technique allows him to leap over defenders, touch them mid-air, and land beyond their reach, making him a lethal raider on the mat.
