Career
On January 18, 2016, he debuted in Twenty20 for Mumbai in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. On February 25, 2017, he debuted in List A for Mumbai during the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the 2016–17 season.
He debuted in first-class cricket for Mumbai on December 7, 2017, during the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. He achieved his initial five-wicket haul in first-class cricket during the first innings. He scored his first-class cricket century during the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Railways on November 2, 2018, in the 2018–19 season. He took seven wickets for 54 runs in his next match, marking another five-wicket haul against Karnataka. Dube struck five sixes in a single over during the Ranji Trophy game versus Baroda on December 17, 2018.
In December 2018, the Royal Challengers Bangalore obtained him during the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. Before the 2021 Indian Premier League, Dube was signed by the Rajasthan Royals during the IPL auction in February 2021. He was acquired by the Chennai Super Kings in February 2022 at the Indian Premier League 2022 auction.

Shivam Dube began his cricket journey when he was six years old.
His father registered him at the Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Academy in Andheri West, Mumbai for cricket lessons.
Subsequently, he received cricket training from Satish Samant.
In the past, his father operated a dairy farm business. Eventually, his father started his own jeans-washing business and has a factory in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra; however, due to his cricketing commitments, his father leased it out.
At 14 years old, Shivam stopped playing cricket due to money problems. Four years later, he took up cricket with the help of his uncle “Ramesh Dube” and cousin “Rajiv Dube.”
