Early Life and Education
Bala Hijam spent her growing years in Manipur, where she had her early education up to a local high school. She had her film debut at fifteen in Tellanga Mamei, introduced by cinematographer Irom Maipak. Bala comes from an intimate family. Her father is Hijam Biramangol, and her mother is Hijam Suniti Devi. She is married to Ningthoujam Dinesh Singh. Despite her fame, Bala maintains a humble lifestyle staying in sync with her Manipur roots.
