A budding director, who debuted with a 2021 sequel to a 2005 hit, has left a major studio after his follow-up failed at the box office. Despite a three-film deal, he was dismissed for not delivering. He’s now working with a smaller studio on a new family-friendly project.

This budding director, who marked his directorial debut with a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster in 2021 has paved his way out from a top studio, citing no more films. The second part was a dud at the box office. The director was asked to exit the studio as he couldn’t deliver a hit despite having a three-film deal.

Looks like, the director and the studio parted ways on a sour note. A close source to the director reveals that his script wasn’t approved by the head honcho of the studio. He has been working with the studio since his struggling days. He had even assisted directors on many projects.

Very recently, the director announced his project with a semi-known studio. This film is touted to be a clean family entertainer.
