Born and brought up in Mumbai in Maharashtra on September 5, 2000, Jemimah profited from a sports-oriented environment. Her father, a former cricketer and school coach named Ivan Rodrigues, was instrumental in encouraging the budding cricketer and nurturing her very early interest in the game. Wanting to help his daughter, he went ahead and created a girls’ cricket team at her school, thus providing her with the very basic platform from which to embark on her cricketing career.
