Sky Force is a historical action Bollywood drama that was launched in theatres on 24th January 2025. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film tells the tale of India’s first significant airstrike brought about by the 1965 Indo-Pak War. At the centre of the film’s narrative is Group Captain Ahuja, played by Akshay Kumar, who leads a daring mission to target Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase.

Veer Pahariya lights up his debut as Flying Officer Vijay with enthusiasm and conviction and leaves behind the promise of being a new bright star. Sara Ali Khan plays Geeta, into whom she infuses emotionality, while Nimrat Kaur as Shalini affords a certain coziness and strength. Sharad Kelkar and Soham Majumdar complete the cast through powerful performances that showcase friendship and the psychological effects of war. Sky Force is magnificent on an aesthetic level. Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran’s camerawork manages to capture and render thrilling action air combat as well as the placid, private moments spent on the ground. Although it does not present anything new in storytelling terms, it certainly provides a high-quality experience in terms of respect to real courage, which makes it well worth the time for the fans of historical films and war dramas.
