Nazriya Nazim was born on 20 December 1994 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India to a Malayali Muslim family. Her father, Nazimuddeen, is a businessman and her mother, Begum Beena, is a homemaker. She has a younger brother, Naveen Nazim, who works in the entertainment sector.
Nazriya spent her early life in the UAE, and attended school in Al Ain. She then continued her education in Thiruvananthapuram and studied a Bachelor of Commerce degree which she dropped in order to pursue a career in film.

Nazriya’s life took a turn when she met actor Fahadh Faasil on the set of a project.
