Season 2 revolves around Rena’s flirting with danger as she has a memorable, risk-filled night with Roshan, but the night doesn’t go as planned with twin-like turns of events and emotional entanglements. Staying true to the Ullu signature of erotic, dangerous storytelling, the show mixes drama, romance, and fantasy in its brief existence.
Overview
The Hindi Ullu web series that originally began on August 1, 2019, consisted of only two brief episodes, and Wanna Have a Good Time 2 is a continuation. The plot concerns Rena (played by Roshmi Banik), a wealthy, spoiled young lady who arranges an ill-fated night of love for Roshan. Double acting by Aarav Chowdhary as Roshan and his double, Rohan, was electrifying to see. Chowdhary embraced the double role with gusto, commenting that it was interesting for him to portray two very different men in one episode. With supporting actors whose characters add to the story’s flirting with lust and danger, Raj Bedi and Esha Vengurlekar complete the cast.
The series, which aims to be engaging and thought-provoking, is penned by Sritama Dutta (story and screenplay) and directed by Deepak Pandey, with Falguni Shah as the producer. Arjun Prajapati and Baljit Singh Salhan worked on the editing back-end, with Aditya Divan lending his hand as an associate/second-unit director.
The narrative is densely packed but emotionally intense. Rena’s encounter with Roshan/Rohan tonight will be one she’ll never forget, but it also takes a different turn unexpectedly. The series is closest to Ullu’s salacious storytelling approach by combining romance, fantasy, and adult elements. The viewers get a fast, sensual ride into mystery and temptation with Wanna Have a Good Time 2’s concise but intense approach.
