Early Life and Background

Hussain Mansuri’s tale plays out in Mumbai, which, from a young age, was a stage for him to put up with great trials. In a setting of limited financial resources, he took up any work he could find, which also included work during his school years, to support his family. Through it all, he managed to finish school at Cardinal Gracious High and go on to Rizvi College for his degree. He did what it took to hold onto hope.

Although early in life Husain was into aviation and hotels, what set in was his love for storytelling and photography. He saw in digital platforms a great way to bring about social change. With that as his mission, he left behind the traditional professions for the world of social media, which he dedicated to a cause larger than himself, that of spreading empathy and bettering the lot of the disadvantaged.

Hussain put out very positive content, which also revolved around human dignity, and very soon, he gained a huge online audience. On Instagram, his very emotional videos, which did particularly well with those of children affected by cancer, went viral. Also, his open message of “Main sirf insaniyat ka farz ada kar rahan — I am but a proponent of humanity” became a tenet that resonated with many, and his authenticity spoke to people across social media.
