Every year, as winter breaks and India puts out its colourful spring, we see the city of Gandhinagar in Gujarat come alive at the Vasantosav Fair. For 2025, Vasantosav is set to put on a spectacular show, which is a cultural extravaganza that brings together traditional art, performance, food, shopping and local artisans in one place.

During the day, the fairgrounds come to life with stalls which have a variety of handicrafts, handloom textiles, jewellery, pottery, art works and artefacts. From all over the state, artists and craftspeople come to the fair with motifs, techniques and traditions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra and more.
- Cultural Presentations.
As night sets in, the stage lights up. We see folk dance troupes and musical ensembles from all over India, which perform every day. You can expect kathak, garba, lavani, bhangra and other regional dance forms, which are put in between instrumental pieces and vocal performances. These shows are the soul of the fair’s evening atmosphere.
- Culinary Pleasures.
Spring brings out amazing and unique flavours. At the food stalls, you’ll find authentic Gujarati snacks, sweets, and local dishes, which also include options from other parts of India.
