Early Life and Education
Lakshmi Niwas Mittal was born on 15 June 1950 in Sadulpur, which is a small town in Rajasthan, India. He is from a Marwari Hindu business family. His father, Mohanlal Mittal, was in the steel business in India. The family later shifted to Kolkata (then Calcutta), where Lakshmi did his school at Shri Daulatram Nopany Vidyalaya.
