Sridevi, born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan on 13 August 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, was one of the most famed actresses in Indian cinema. Belonging to a Tamilian Hindu family, she began her trip in flicks at the age of four and went on to come the first womanish megastar of Bollywood.

Early Life & Family
Sridevi’s father Ayyappan was a counsel, while her mama managed her career. She had one family and two stepbrothers. She married famed film patron Boney Kapoor in 1996 and came part of the Kapoor family. The couple had two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
Career Journey
Sridevi started as a child artist in the Tamil film Kandan Karunai( 1967). She worked considerably in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema appearing in over 300 flicks. Her Bollywood debut as a lead actress came with Solva Sawan( 1979). flicks like Chandni, Mr. India, Nagina, Lamhe, ChaalBaaz, English Vinglish, and Mom cemented her fabulous status.
Awards & Achievements
Sridevi won multiple Filmfare Awards, state awards, and the National Film Award for Mom( 2018). In 2013, she was recognized with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-loftiest mercenary award.
Death
Sridevi passed away on 24 February 2018 in Dubai at the age of 54. After disquisition, the cause of death was declared accidental drowning. Her burial in Mumbai was held with state honors, reflecting her immense donation to Indian cinema.
Sridevi remains an eternal icon whose heritage continues to inspire generations.
