In contemporary Punjabi music today, Arjan Dhillon is one of the most notable artists. His distinctive singing style and heartfelt lyrics make him a unique artist in two different ways—one as a lyricist and the other as a performer. His journey from humble beginnings in rural Punjab to performing on major international stages has been characterised by persistence, creativity, and a huge commitment to his art.
His early life was spent in Bhadaur village, where he was born on 14th December 1990 and experienced the rich cultural ambience of his home region before beginning his education at Punjabi University, Patiala. During this time, he was completing his Master’s Degree in Performing Arts (along with preparing for his PhD), and showing his interest in both academia and creativity.

When he started writing in the 12th standard, he started creating his own lyrics based on the daily activities of village life, folklore, and his personal experiences. Being from a Jatt Sikh family, he remains connected to his roots and heritage.
Arjan has not disclosed much about his personal life. He has a younger sister and has a close relationship with his family. He has never been married and is a Sikh, which he believes has kept him grounded all these years. His hobbies include watching movies, web series, reading, and playing the harmonium.
Career as a Lyricist

Arjan Dhillon has been active in the Punjabi music industry as a lyricist since 2017, and he has achieved considerable recognition in the field. He has written lyrics for several songs by Nimrat Khaira, artists like “Tohar,” “Suit,” “Ranihaar,” and several others. In addition to that, he has worked on Punjabi films like “Afsar” (2019), with songs like “Udhar Chalda” and “Sun Sohniye.”
Arjan Dhillon has collaborated with prominent artists such as Diljit Dosanjh for the album “Moon Child Era” (2021), which includes the song “Luna.” His capacity to blend modern ideas with traditional Punjabi culture has made him a resounding success.
Career as a Singer

Arjan made his debut as a singer with the song ‘Ishq Jeha Ho Gaya’ from the movie ‘Afsar’ in 2018. He released his first single, ‘Shera Samb Lai’, under his own label in 2019. However, it was ‘Jatt di Janeman’ released in 2020 that made him popular. He continued making hits with songs such as ‘Bai Bai,’ ‘My Fellas,’ and ‘Jawani,’ which is the highest streaming song for him on Spotify with more than 20 million streams.
Arjan released his debut album ‘The Future’ and the first studio album ‘Awara’ in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Both received acclaim for the lyrics and the variety of music used. He released ‘Panjab Kithe Dabda’ for the farmers’ protest of 2020-2021, reflecting his social commitment and connection with Punjab-related issues.
Destiny Tour and Achievements
In 2022, Arjan Dhillon launched his first international concert tour, ‘Destiny Tour Canada,’ with Punjabi singer Nimrat Khaira. He extended his tour to Australia and New Zealand, making it a major achievement for him.
