Atul Agnihotri started out acting in Hindi films in the 1990s, but he really found his groove as a producer later on. He worked hard, landed some big projects, and—let’s be honest—being connected to one of Bollywood’s most famous families didn’t hurt. That mix helped him build a solid spot for himself in the industry.
He’s got roots in the business. Born June 24, 1970, in Delhi, Atul grew up surrounded by movies. His father, Rohit Agnihotri, was already part of the film world, so for Atul, movie talk was basically dinner table conversation. That kind of environment nudged him toward film early.
Most of his school years happened in India, but nobody seems to know much about his college life. Like a lot of young dreamers, Atul eventually headed to Mumbai, hoping to break into Bollywood. He started just like everyone else—auditioning, taking whatever bits and pieces he could, slowly picking up experience until people started paying attention.
He got his first acting roles in the late ’80s and early ’90s, showing up in films like Sir (1993), Krantiveer (1994), and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002). He did a good job, but he never became the top guy in front of the camera. Still, all that acting taught him a lot about how films get made—knowledge that paid off when he switched careers.

Eventually, Atul figured out that his skills were better used behind the scenes. He turned to producing, and when he backed Bodyguard (with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan), things took off. The film was a huge hit and cemented Atul as a dependable producer. He stuck with it, kept making films, and got even more involved with the business side of things.
He’s about 5’10″ tall (178 cm) and always seems calm and professional, even if he’s not in the spotlight much these days. Acting isn’t his main gig anymore, but his work as a producer—and his family ties—keep him visible.
Family matters, too. Atul married Alvira Khan Agnihotri, who’s Salman Khan’s sister, which put him right in the heart of the Khan clan. He and Alvira have two children, and their home life seems tight and grounded, even with all the Bollywood buzz. Atul’s not flashy—he’d rather stay out of the drama and focus on getting work done.
By 2026, Atul Agnihotri’s net worth is somewhere between ₹80 and ₹100 crore (about $10–12 million). Most of that money comes from film production, business deals, and some smart investments. His knack for picking the right projects definitely helped his bank account grow over the years.
