Early Life and Background

Born in 1972 in Mumbai, Karan Kumar Johar had a destiny in the film industry. Son of the great film producers Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar, he was brought up in a world of cinema, which had a great impact on him. He attended Greenlawns High School for his early education and then went on to study at HR College of Commerce and Economics. Although he at one point was to pursue a career in corporate, his true love for storytelling drew him to the silver screen.
