For instance, Seth’s mother is Leila Seth, one of the first women in India appointed as a judge, whereas the writer’s father, Prem Nath Seth, works in a corporation.
Vikram Seth studied in some prestigious colleges such as the ones of the United Kingdom, namely, Corpus Christi College, Stanford University, and Nanjing University, China. It was here that the writer studied classical Chinese poetry.
