Abhishek Kumar has become huge news in the realm of Indian television and entertainment due to his loving disposition, high energy level, and ability to deliver amazing performances on camera! This is evident after he participated in Bigg Boss 17. He has built up a strong national presence through his participation in this show. In addition to his performance on this show, he has inspired numerous young fans through his personal journey of coming from a small town in Punjab to now working in the mainstream television industry.
Abhishek Kumar was born into a traditional middle-class Punjabi family. He has been raised by a father who trained him to be a disciplined person and has been taught all of life’s lessons through his mother, who was a true Punjabi woman, raising him to be respectful to all of the elders within the family unit.
Since an early age, Abhishek has demonstrated a keen interest in all things of the performing arts. He has performed on numerous occasions at the state level (Punjab), and although the performing arts can be a bit unpredictable and/or without any guarantees, Abhishek’s family has provided him with every encouragement needed and supported him 100%.
Abhishek attended high school at SNAS Arya Senior Secondary School in Punjab. Upon completion of his education, he decided to pursue a career as an actor and/or model. Like the majority of other newcomers to the television industry, Abhishek has endured a considerable amount of hardships during the early part of his career in the entertainment industry. After committing himself to auditioning, the initial foray into modeling and music videos allowed him to gain experience before embarking on his adventure in the entertainment industry. His commitment and patience would ultimately allow him to develop opportunities in the industry.
Television Career and Breakthrough
The beginning of Abhishek’s career was marked by his participation in the music video “Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai?”, released in 2018; however, his breakthrough year is considered 2021 because it’s the year Abhishek started playing Amrik Singh Virk in the TV serial Udaariyaan, where he received recognition from the TV audience and quickly grew popular.
Later, he starred in various programs such as Bekaboo, where he proved his acting abilities through passionate and emotional scenes, which helped him connect with the audience.
Abhishek and Bigg Boss
Abhishek made it into the reality show Bigg Boss 17 in 2023, which was a huge achievement in his career because people could relate to him. They noticed his sincerity and vulnerability when discussing his personal problems throughout the entire program, which brought him even closer to fans.
By winning the status of runner-up in the reality show, Abhishek started exploring other realities, appearing in Laughter Chefs, where people witnessed Abhishek’s funny side, and participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi.
