Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970, in New Delhi.
He is the first child of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi and turned 56 in 2026.He comes from one of India’s most famous political families, the Nehru-Gandhi family.His father, Rajiv Gandhi, was the sixth Prime Minister of India.His paternal grandmother was Indira Gandhi, and his great-grandfather was Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.He has a younger sister named Priyanka Gandhi, who is also involved in politics.

Political Career
Rahul started his political career in 2004 when he ran for the Lok Sabha election from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, where his father had previously represented.
That same year, the Congress party came back into power.In 2007, he became the General Secretary of the Congress party.In 2013, he became the Vice President of the party and held that position until 2017.He then became the party President from 2017 to 2019.
In 2022, he began the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a long march from Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir, to promote unity.
