With Hera Pheri 3 in the pipeline, veteran actor Paresh Rawal opens up about his camaraderie with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.

Paresh Rawal has graced the Hindi film industry with his presence for decades, amassing an impressive filmography of over 240 movies during his illustrious career. The numerous awards and accolades he has garnered over the years attest to his talent as an actor and producer. Amongst this vast repertoire, “Hera Pheri” stands out as a cult classic, where he shared the screen with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. Recently, the actor shed light on the bond he shares with his fellow actors.

In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Paresh Rawal delved into the Hera Pheri franchise and his upcoming projects. As “Hera Pheri 3” is in the works, the With “Hera Pheri 3” currently in development, the actor known for “Welcome” shared glimpses of his connection with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.

When asked about what it’s like to work with these two actors and if their camaraderie remains as strong as it was during the filming of the franchise’s first installment, Rawal responded affirmatively, saying, “Yeah, we still have it.” The seasoned actor went on to mention that the trio has collaborated on multiple projects since “Hera Pheri.”

Rawal emphasized that, while working together, they have a deep understanding of each other’s strengths and boundaries. “We share a deep mutual respect, both as artists and as friends, valuing each other as human beings. These are secure actors who know precisely what is expected of them. There’s no ambiguity; we are well aware of our characters and what they entail,” he added.

Paresh Rawal also discussed “Hera Pheri 3,” where he is set to reprise his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. In the same interview, he expressed his hopes for the sequel, drawing a parallel with the “Munna Bhai” franchise.He remarked, “Should this project prove successful, it reminds me of the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ paradigm.” A sequel should be like that, radically different. It should take a quantum leap, placing the character in a distinct background and a different world. It should transport the audience to a new realm. That’s the way it should be,” expressing his optimism for his upcoming film.
