Vicky Kaushal, who has seamlessly transformed into Sam Manekshaw on-screen, is garnering praise for his portrayal in Sam Bahadur. However, the shocking revelation is the actor’s reported fee for this remarkable transformation, standing at a whopping 10 crores.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the biographical war drama boasts a production budget of 55 crores. While this marks Vicky’s second foray into a war film after Uri: The Surgical Strike, the actor has earned acclaim for his portrayal of the former Army Chief.
The film’s production spanned over three years, initially considering Ranveer Singh for the lead role. Eventually, Meghna placed her trust in Vicky Kaushal, leading to their collaboration in the movie. Attempts to connect with Ranveer during Meghna’s work with Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak did not materialize.
