Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram celebrated their union in Imphal, Manipur, adhering to the traditional Maitei style on November 29th. The intimate ceremony, attended by close friends and family, showcased the couple’s commitment to embracing Lin’s Manipuri heritage. In an interview, Randeep Hooda shed light on the decision to opt for a Manipuri traditional wedding, emphasizing the importance of respect for his bride’s culture.

The wedding, held at the Chumthang Shannapung resort, featured a traditional Meitei ceremony. Before the wedding, Randeep shared his sentiments with ANI, expressing his joy about marrying in Lin’s tradition. He acknowledged the unique customs, mentioning that, in Meitei love marriages, the groom typically undergoes an extended sitting. Despite this, he eagerly anticipated the ceremony, expressing his eagerness to experience and embrace Lin’s cultural background.

Randeep conveyed his commitment to immersing himself in Lin’s traditions, expressing his hope to perform all rituals with sincerity. He expressed enthusiasm about the cultural exchange, describing their union as an intersection of east and west. Randeep also shared his aspirations for a happy future, abundant with children.

Reflecting on their journey, Randeep revealed that their connection dates back to their theatre days. Both involved in Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group, Motley, Randeep and Lin first crossed paths when Randeep was her senior. The couple went public with their relationship during Diwali last year, and since then, they’ve openly shared their affection on social media.

Upon arriving in Imphal, Randeep and Lin sought blessings at Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee temples. Randeep expressed his desire for a harmonious married life and peace for Manipur. When questioned about celebrity attendees, he clarified that it would only be him.

In terms of their professional lives, Lin recently appeared in Sujoy Ghosh’s mystery thriller, “Jaane Jaan,” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Meanwhile, Randeep, known for his roles in “Sergeant” and the web series “Inspector Avinash,” is set to both act and direct “Swatantra Veer Savarkar,” portraying Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
