The film ‘Animal,’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, achieved considerable success despite its A rating and a lengthy runtime of 3 hours and 23 minutes. The movie included intense violent scenes, intimate sequences, and impactful dialogues that resonated with the audience.

Interestingly, it has come to light that certain scenes and dialogues have been omitted from the version of the film screened in cinema halls in Bangladesh. According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, the Bangladesh Film Censor Board insisted on the removal of specific adult scenes before allowing the movie’s release. The filmmakers acquiesced to this demand, resulting in the censorship of approximately 27 minutes of content. Consequently, the runtime of ‘Animal’ in Bangladesh is now 2 hours and 56 minutes.

Sources suggest that, as anticipated, the audience in Bangladesh expressed dissatisfaction similar to their Indian counterparts, as the censored version of ‘Animal’ lacked the impactful elements that contributed to its shock value. Furthermore, the film had a delayed release in the country, hitting theaters on December 7, whereas it premiered in India and other locations on December 1.

Another source noted that even ‘Salaar,’ which holds an ‘A’ rating in India, has yet to be released in Bangladesh. The coming week will determine if it can secure a release there. In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki‘ enjoyed a simultaneous release in Bangladesh, along with the rest of the world. Aside from Ranbir Kapoor, the cast of ‘Animal’ includes Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri.
