Kanpur Horror – Woman’s naked headless body bound on the highway;

A gruesome discovery was made in Kanpur’s Gujaini area on September 11, when locals found the naked and headless body of a woman, believed to be in her mid-30s, lying on the national highway. The body was first spotted around 6:15 am, and police were immediately notified. The discovery has left locals panic-stricken, and police are working to identify the woman and determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Police have formed several teams to investigate the case and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Although there are no CCTV cameras at the exact location where the body was found, footage from a camera about 3 km away shows a woman with a similar physique walking alone a couple of hours before the body was discovered. The woman in the footage was wearing grey trousers, and pieces of a grey garment were found near the body.

The police are exploring all possible angles, including rape and murder, and have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death . The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The UPDIC, promoted by the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority, aims to make the state a dollar trillion economy and promote the ‘Make in UP’ theme. With its rich industrial heritage, Kanpur is poised to become a defence manufacturing hub in north India.
