Dharmendra was one of the most famous and popular actors in Hindi film history. Dharmendra is known as ‘Heman’ in Hindi films due to his muscular body and action routines. His best-known films include Anupama, Satyakam, and Bandhani. But his performance of Veeru in the 1975 film Sholay drew the greatest notice. His fans continue to refer to him by this name. During his film career, he made the most films with his wife, Hema Malini. He was a member of India’s 14th Lok Sabha. In 2012, he received the Padma Bhushan award.

Dharmendra was born on December 8, 1935, in Phagwara, Punjab. His father, Kishan Singh Deol, was the headmaster of a school in Lalton, Ludhiana. Dharmendra has gotten married twice. Prakash Kaur was his first wife. They have four children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol, and Ajita Deol. His boys work as actors in Hindi films, while his daughter has relocated abroad after getting married. His second wife is Hema Malini, a well-known actress and Bollywood’s ideal girl. He is the father of two daughters from Hema Malini. Both of their daughters, Isha and Ahana Deol, have married.
Personal Life
Dharmendra is an emotional and shy man who has spent most of his life in front of cameras. In 1954, at the age of 19, he married Prakash Kaur. This couple had four children: Sunny, Bobby, Vijita, and Ajita.
He fell in love with his co-star Hema Malini during the height of his film career in the 1970s. He married her without having divorced his first wife. He has two daughters from this marriage: Isha and Ahana.
Education
Dharmendra had his early education at Jalandhar’s Government Senior Secondary School. He would sneak into the cinema hall to see films while pretending to be in school. He was so enamoured with films that in 1949, he saw the film ‘Dillagi’ forty times. Dharmendra is uneducated but has had a lifelong passion for films.
Dharmendra’s Film Career
Dharmendra Dharmendra, a renowned Bollywood actor, began his career in Mumbai after receiving the FilmFare Magazine New Talent Award. He made his Bollywood debut with Arjun Hingorani’s film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960. He starred in several romantic films between 1960 and 1967, including Surat and Seerat, Bandini, Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya, and Dulhan Ek Raat Ki. He also worked with Nutan on several films, including Anpadha, Pooja Ke Phool Mein Mala, and Dulhan Ek Raat Ki.
