Manoj Bajpayee has unveiled the official teaser for Apoorv Singh Karki’s “Bhaiyya Ji,” showcasing the actor in a compelling role as a protector of his family.
The teaser for Manoj Bajpayee‘s “Bhaiyya Ji” was released on Wednesday, offering a glimpse of the actor in a formidable character. Set in Bihar’s Sitamarhi in 2014, the film portrays Manoj in a rustic appearance, draped in a dhoti with a gamcha adorning his shoulder. Sharing the action-packed teaser on his Instagram handle, Bajpayee captioned, “Ab nivedan nahin, narsanhar hoga… aa gayi hai Bhaiyaaji ki pehli jhalak (No more requests, there will be reckoning… the first glimpse of Bhaiyaaji is here).”

The teaser unfolds with a wounded Manoj, portraying Bhaiyaaji, surrounded by assailants intent on his demise. “Yeh saanp ke jaise aankhon se photo kheench leta hai (He can capture photos through his eyes like a snake)”As an attacker swings a rod at him, Bhaiyya Ji stands tall, causing his assailants to scatter in terror. With blood seeping from his forehead and a menacing stare, Manoj emanates a sinister aura as he ignites a beedi and starts smoking. Helmed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film is scheduled for release on May 24th.”
“Bhaiya Ji” revolves around a man who defends his family and seeks retribution for the injustices inflicted upon his loved ones. Deepak Kingrani, the scriptwriter, has pledged to revive the essence of ’70s and ’80s Hindi Cinema through his narrative. Significantly, “Bhaiya Ji” represents Manoj Bajpayee’s centennial film endeavor.

In addition to headlining the action-drama, Manoj Bajpayee assumes the role of a producer for the film. This project marks the second collaboration between the actor, director Apoorv Singh Karki, and producer Vinod Bhanushali, following their critically acclaimed OTT film, “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.” Expressing his enthusiasm for the venture, Bajpayee stated, “I am thrilled to step into the world of Bhaiyya Ji. The prospect of embodying such a raw and intense character fills me with excitement. Recognizing “Bhaiyya Ji” as a comprehensive mainstream entertainer compelled me to join forces with Apoorv Singh Karki, the director behind “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai,” and take on the role of producer alongside our wonderful team,” expressed the 54-year-old actor during an interview with PTI.
