Vijayakumar, born on August 29, 1943, in Nattuchalai, Pattukottai, Tamil Nadu, has garnered fame both as an actor and a politician. He debuted in the Tamil film industry in 1964 with “Sri Valli,” and his breakthrough came with “Aval Oru Thodar Kathai” in 1974. Vijayakumar has a versatile career, playing supporting roles alongside icons like Kamal Haasan and Sivaji Ganesan. Notably, he has also portrayed lead characters in movies such as “Aval Oru Thodarkathai,” “Mathura Geetham,” and “Azhage Unnai Arathikkiren.”

Vijayakumar’s family includes his wife, Muthukannu (since 1969), and late wife, Manjula (1976โ2013).
