The 2006 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film Vivah, which translates to “Wedding / Marriage,” was written and directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya. The protagonists of the story are Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor.
The Rajshri Productions-produced movie, which also stars Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, Seema Biswas, Samir Soni, and Lata Sabharwal. Vivah, two people’s journey from engagement to marriage and its repercussions is chronicled.
The movie came out on November 10, 2006. At the box office, it was a commercial triumph and the year’s tenth best earner, taking in over ₹139 million globally.
Because of their roles in the movie, Kapoor and Rao were nominated for Screen Awards for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively.
The first Indian movie to be released consecutively in the theatres and on the web.
