On August 8, 2024, Akshay Kumar, along with director Mudassar Aziz, visited the Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai, where he generously donated Rs 1.21 crore to aid in the shrine’s renovation. This act of kindness comes after his earlier contribution of Rs 3 crore to the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The Haji Ali Dargah Trust expressed their heartfelt thanks to Kumar in an Instagram post, acknowledging his generosity. They also shared that special prayers were offered in memory of his late parents, Aruna Bhatia and Hari Om Bhatia. The post stated, “We extend our gratitude to Bollywood star Padmashri Akshay Kumar for his generous donation of Rs.1,21,00,000 towards our renovation efforts. Our prayers are with his late parents, and we are truly grateful for his support.”
