Ajay Devgn, born Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a well-known actor, producer, and film director. He has acted in over a hundred movies and has won several awards, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian accolade from the Government of India. Devgn began his career in the film industry with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991.
In 2000, he had even launched his own production company called Ajay Devgn FFilms. He directed his first movie titled U Me Aur Hum in 2008. He was married to Kajol, also an actress, in 1999, and they have two children, Nysa and Yug. The actor was born to New Delhi and is an Aries, born on April 2, 1969. In 2022, he will be 53 years old.
He started his own visual effects studio, named NY VFXWAALA, after his kids in October 2015. This studio undertook high-budget films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajirao Mastani. This studio also received the Best Special Effects accolade at the 64th National Film Awards for the film Shivaay in 2016.

Devgn comes from a Punjabi Hindu family that hailed from Amritsar, Punjab. His father, Veeru Devgan, was a stunt coordinator and action film director, and his mother, Veena, is a film producer. His cousin, Anil Devgan, is a director and scriptwriter. Devgn attended Silver Beach High School in Juhu and later Mithibai College.
Devgn’s early relationship was with actress Karisma Kapoor, which ended in 1995, and he then began dating Kajol. Both different in characters, they got married on 24 February 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian style. The couple is blessed with a baby girl in 2003 and a son in the year 2010. The umbilical cord blood of their son was sent for the possible use in stem cell transplant. In August 2009, Devgn decided to make a slight alteration in his surname from “Devgan” to “Devgn”. That way, it was spelled in his passport. He is an ardent devotee of Shaiva Hinduism and he integrates religious motifs into his films.
Career
Ajay Devgn has been a man with immense success in Bollywood. He has been action-oriented, does his stunts, and is a superstar that has done super-hit movies. He made his debut in directing movies in 2008 with U Me Aur Hum and then founded Ajay Devgn Films Productions in 2000. Devgn has also won two National Film Awards, one for Zakhm and one for The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
He made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991 that gave him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. The film was an enormous hit and consisted of one memorable scene of his doing a split on two motorcycles.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam came out another path-breaking film for Devgn in 1999. It was a novel and unique kind of role where he played the man who helps his wife to get back to her former lover. His acting performance received a great of applause and he got a Filmfare nomination.
In The Legend of Bhagat Singh, he played a freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh, to much acclaim, and he won a few awards, including a National Film Award for Best Feature Film.
Another successful comedy film of his is :Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006 and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai in 2010, where he portrayed a gangster as Sultan Mirza, receiving positive reviews.
Singham Returns (2014) :The sequel of Singham [2011] was A blockbuster hit Commercially and critically, In this film, he played the same role as DCP Bajirao Singham Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film belonged to the Cop Universe series of Shetty.

Many films have been produced and distributed by Ajay Devgn FFilms. Some of the noteworthy productions are ‘Raju Chacha’ in 2000, ‘U Me Aur Hum’ in 2008, ‘Total Dhamaal’ in 2019, and his first in Marathi production, ‘Aapla Manus’, which did well in 2018.
Devgn, a very private person, has never allowed any controversy to fade his powerful presence within the industry for over two decades. He stands in the top of the list in celebrity endorsements and has always placed himself in Forbes India Celebrity 100 lists.
