Jaskaran Singh Aujla, aka Karan Aujla, was born on 18 January 1997 in village Ghurala, Ludhiana district, Punjab, India. He has two elder sisters, and he is the youngest among them. His parents died when he was just nine years old, after which he was raised by his sisters and uncle.
From childhood itself, Aujla was into music and started writing songs when quite young. He met Jassi Gill at a marriage when he was in the ninth grade and gave him the lyrics to the song “Range”. He liked the song and recorded it; it became a hit.
