Rinku Khanchand Singh (born 12 October 1997) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the national team. Hill earned his first cap for England in August 2023 against Ireland. He plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League and Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed off-spinning number five batsman. He is famous for his 15 runs in the April 9, 2023 innings where he hit five sixers on the last over’s each ball against Gujarat Titans playing from the Kolkata Knight Riders.
From a cricket background, Rinku Singh played at the under-16 level for Uttar Pradesh. He made good efforts to improve his game and he also got selected in the under-19 team of Uttar Pradesh.
Rinku Singh played for Uttar Pradesh in the finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in 2016. After his regular appearances at the under-19 level, he was eventually led to a state debut for Uttar Pradesh.
While he enjoyed success in domestic cricket, his performance was not immediately reciprocated when it came to the Indian Premier League (IPL)outing on 9th April for the game against Delhi Capitals. In 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed him and he could not change the team’s outlook during his first season when he scored a mere 120 runs in ten matches.
Despite the challenges, Rinku Singh worked harder to develop his skills. Later during his journey, he was signed by Chennai Super Kings as their replacement player for the 2020 season which opened around to learn from some of the best experienced players like MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina.
