Vikram’s Birth Name is Kennedy John Victor. Vikram is a playground singer and Indian actor His work is mostly in Tamil cinema. He has also appeared at times in a few Malayalam films as well, and Telugu and Hindi films too! He is one of the most awarded actors in Tamil cinema, with accolades including seven Filmfare Awards South, a National Film Award and a Tamil Nadu State—Film Award. In 2004, He was awarded the Kalaimamani by the Tamil Nadu government and in May of that month received an honorary doctorate from the Popular University of Milan. He is one of the most prolific actors in Indian cinema and has a multitude of parts to his credit.
Vikram was born on April 17, 1966, as Kennedy John Victor to a Hindu mother and a Christian father. His father John Victor (Vinod Raj) a former Paramakudi citizen left the town and later on took to acting. His father, who could only manage to get supporting roles in Tamil movies and television series, encouraged him to take up acting classes and receive professional training in classical dance forms which include Bharatanatyam. Touted to be a leading actor like his father, Vikram is likely to make her debut in 2023. Vikram’s mother was a Sub-Collector, and his first cousin Prashanth is a director and actor in Tamil cinema Thiagarajan.
Vikram‘s younger is Arvind who was supposed to begin his acting career in the movie Saroja in the year 2008 but didn’t would only have a guest appearance. Anitha, on the other hand, is a teacher and Vikram’s younger sister.
In 1983, Vikram finished at Montfort School in Yercaud, a residential school in the hills of Salem. Instead, he points out that he took advantage of school-related opportunities to do things like karate, horseback riding and swimming from a young age which gave him confidence as a child.
He got married to Shailaja Balakrishnan, whom he first met in the late 1980s. Married since 1992 a grand wedding at Guruvayoor Temple. Shailaja and Vikram were both probably at Chennai’s Loyola College.
Having appeared in low-budget films throughout the 1990s, he was first noticed on screen by Malayalam film director Bala and only for his remake of Sethu (1999). He rose to fame with Bala’s tragedy film Sethu as a roguish lovelorn man (1999) which was released in the year 2000. Vikram has spoken for many social issues and in 2011 appeared as the Youth Envoy, with the UN Human Settlements Programme.
Vikram has a big following in Andhra Pradesh as well, thanks to the Karan Johar movies but also quite a few dubbed Telugu films of his (particularly Aparichitudu where you were superb) and hence he thought what else could be more impressive than loves story set there with me. Thus all his films are Telugu dubbed and released soon after their Tamil versions. Aparichit: a 2005 Hindi film based on the Tamil movie Anniyan Kerala has been relatively a good state since his films also succeeded over there and they opened to Kerala box office openings which are all the best ones comparable to Malayalam film stars. He is the only actor to be awarded with a National Film Award for Best Actor, while all other Tamil actors who won this award have appeared in Hindi films. Also, Vikram is voted by CNN-IBN as amongst the 5 greatest Indian actors of all time, while Kamal Haasan leads that list having a lead over ten Filmfare awards in the South.
