During a recent event in India, Anushka Sharma spoke about how she follows an early dinner schedule, dining at 5:30 p.m. in line with her daughter Vamika’s routine. She shared that this change has positively impacted her overall well-being, both physically and mentally.
At the Slurrp Farm event, Anushka explained that she and her daughter often eat dinner together. Since she and Vamika are frequently at home by themselves, she found it practical to share the meal at the same time. “I thought, why not eat now? Soon, I began noticing improvements in my sleep and feeling more refreshed in the mornings,” she said.

She mentioned that her decision to adopt this routine initially came from something she read. What started out of convenience has now become a family habit. “We eat together, then close the kitchen. It’s become a routine we all follow. It’s good to stick to a child’s routine,” she humorously noted.
Anushka also emphasized how crucial it is to maintain a consistent schedule for her children, especially given their frequent travel. Establishing this structure, she believes, offers them stability and helps them cope better with changes. Regardless of where they are, she explained, the family keeps to the same meal and bedtime schedule. “It helps regulate things for the kids,” she added.
Anushka and Virat Kohli tied the knot in 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy. They welcomed their first child, Vamika, in 2021, and their second, a son named Akaay, in February 2024.
On the professional front, Anushka is preparing for the release of Chakda Xpress, a biopic about Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film is set to stream on an OTT platform, although the release date has yet to be confirmed.
