15 rules of Cricket :

1. A cricket match is played on a rectangular field, featuring a pitch that measures 22 yards (66 feet) in length and 3.04 meters (10 feet) in width.

2. Two batsmen represent the batting team, one at each end of the pitch. The bowling team has 11 players on the field, including one bowler.

3. The batting team aims to score runs to achieve or surpass a target, while the bowling team strives to restrict their scoring and prevent them from reaching the target.

4. A batsman can be dismissed seven ways: bowled, LBW, caught, hit wicket, obstruction, stumped, or run-out.

5. A legal delivery requires the bowler to stay behind the crease and keep the ball below waist height. Crossing or exceeding waist height results in a no-ball, allowing runs and a free hit.

6. A no-ball bowled on a free-hit doesn’t cancel the free-hit; it continues until a valid delivery is made.

7. Batting continues until all batsmen are dismissed or the allotted overs expire.

8. The first team bats to set a target, then the teams switch, and the second team bats to chase the target.

9. In limited formats (T20I, ODI), bowlers have restricted overs.

10. The bowling team can substitute a fielder, but they cannot bat or bowl. They can keep wickets only with umpire consent.

11. In powerplay overs, teams must follow fielding restrictions. Exceeding fielder limits outside the 30-yard circle incur a no-ball and free-hit penalty.

12.  Teams have limited reviews to challenge umpire decisions. Exhausting reviews means subsequent decisions are final.

13. Teams must follow the ICC Code of Conduct. Breaches may incur fines or bans.

14. Players must accept the review’s decision as final and binding, with no further appeals or overrides allowed.

15. The team with the highest run total at the end of the match emerges victorious.
