War 2, the much-talked-about Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani-starrer, continues to create buzz among fans. Created by the well-known filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, this expected action-thriller has already amassed much publicity from Yash Raj Films. Adding zing to the excitement, it has been reported that some of the world’s finest stunt directors are being roped into crafting a stupendously breathtaking climax scene.
Climactic Action Scene
According to a report in Mid-Day, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR are set to shoot the intense climax scene in Mumbai starting mid-December. Spanning 15 days, the sequence will be filmed at Film City in Goregaon and YRF Studios in Andheri.
A source revealed that a grand set, designed to depict Jr NTR’s hideout, is under construction at Film City, while VFX-heavy and close-up shots will be captured at YRF Studios. The late Rajat Poddar had conceptualized most of the film’s sets, with only the backdrop for the climax left to complete. Producer Aditya Chopra and director Ayan Mukerji are personally overseeing the set design and action choreography to ensure it meets the film’s high expectations.
International and Indian Action Directors Join Forces
Three renowned stunt directors have been finalized for the action sequences. Prominent stunt coordinator in America, Spiro Razatos, well known for his stints for the Venom (2018) and The Fate of the Furious (2017), has been hired to join Se-yeong Oh, who has worked in such stunts as Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Snowpiercer (2013). The team also includes Indian action director Sunil Rodrigues, whose work in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan has been widely appreciated. The main aim of this team is to choreograph pulse-racing climaxes with stylized hand-to-hand combat.
Dance and Music Sequences
Beyond action, War 2 will also feature some grand musical moments. Vaibhavi Merchant is collaborating with the team to choreograph a dance-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Moreover, a song featuring Hrithik and Kiara Advani is scheduled to be shot in January.
Part of the YRF Spy Universe
As the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 is poised to be a key addition to the franchise. Earlier reports from Pinkvilla revealed that the film is slated for release during the Independence Day weekend in 2025. The upcoming December shoot is expected to mark the conclusion of the film’s principal photography.
