Kangana stated her opinion about songs that glorified drugs, alcohol, and violence during an Aaj Tak session. When asked if she would like to bring this up in Parliament, she insisted that “it’s not a government affair. Public as well has a huge role to play, and so does awareness and action.”

The most important aspect of artistic expression was that according to her, it should genuinely be emotive and from within, while nothing from outside could influence its manifestation. She compared Himachal folk music with many folk songs derived from culture and said that it should all be about one’s wishes in art. But, according to Kangana, drug abuse or addiction becomes a massive societal problem that demands accountability not only from the public but also intervention from the government.

On Allu Arjun being arrested recently and granted interim bail, Kangana stood in support of the actor but said that everyone needs to be accountable. She said it was “unfortunate” and that public personalities, just like anyone else, had to suffer consequences for their actions. And, according to Kangana, the lives of people matter, stressing that accountability should have place, be it in the event of overcrowding or endorsement.
