The much-awaited title of Ranveer Singh’s association with director Aditya Dhar has finally been revealed. After the Amritsar segment of the action-thriller, it has been christened ‘Dhurandhar’. This film is a mega venture for both Singh and Dhar, generating a lot of anticipation in the fan base.
On December 23, actor Rakesh Bedi, a member of the ensemble cast, shared a post on his Instagram, celebrating with a custom cake. He displayed pictures cast along with director Aditya Dhar, with quite a few decorations of guns all over the cake. Bedi captioned the post with, “It’s a Schedule Wrap! Durandhar,” expressing enthusiasm for completing the month-long Amritsar shoot. The post highlighted the dynamic cast and the project’s progress.

‘Dhurandhar’ is more restless and lively, while arguably starrier with names such as Ranveer Singh, Akshaaye Khanna, and R. Madhavan. Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sanjay Dutt complete this star cast. Earlier, Singh and Dhar sought blessings at the Amritsar’s Golden Temple for the successful completion of the first shooting schedule before gearing up for further shoots, bringing an air of spirituality to the production itself.
It says that this film, inspired by real, raw incidents surrounding R&AW operations, is set against the backdrop of spy history in India. This was a very significant early phase in intelligence establishment efforts in India. Aditya Dhar now moves on to another style of storytelling after ‘URI’ and gives Singh an adventure character with great thickness and intensity.

The Amritsar schedule’s completion marks a major milestone in the film’s production, with the team looking forward to the next phases. Fans can expect ‘Dhurandhar’ to release in theaters in the latter half of 2025, promising a gripping cinematic experience that blends history with high-octane action. Produced and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film aims to set a new benchmark in the genre.
